2010 Reproductive Wellness Symposium: Childbirth Across Cultures
Thanks for a great Symposium weekend!
Wisdom Within wishes to thank the Arkansas Valley community for supporting its first annual Reproductive Wellness Symposium.
“Childbirth Across Cultures” was attended by 100+ community members, mothers, fathers, midwives, nurses, lactation consultants, doulas and other health professionals and featured the film, Le Premier Cri, and lectures and workshops presented by the medical anthropologist, Robbie Davis-Floyd, Ph.D and Patrick Houser, founder of Fathers-To-Be.
As a non-profit organization supporting natural and holistic approaches to childbirth and reproductive health, Wisdom Within exists because of the generous support of its volunteers and donors.
Wisdom Within is especially thankful to Amicas catering, Simple Lodge and Hostel, Studio 24, Friends of the Steamplant, and the Book Haven for their very generous support in making this event a success.
We’d also like to acknowledge the wonderful support of 3 Cherry Trees, Aaron Blondeau with The Roaming Coder, Heather Pollock-Green with The Midwife, Su Casa, PakMail, Salida Mountain Sports, Summer Ritchie, L.Ac., with Complementary Medicine Clinic, Himani Ellis, certified herbalist, Neighborhood Natural Goods, Nature’s Pantry, Moonlight Pizza, Laughing Ladies, High County Bank, Simple Foods, Organic Freedom, First Street Café, Sunshine Market, Burmac’s, Grand Rental Station, The Dance Studio, the Public Library, Jamie DeLuccio with Open Sky Yoga and Salida Café, for supporting or helping to host the event.
